TKO CEO Ari Emanuel and President Mark Shapiro are buying personal minority ownership stakes in the Las Vegas Raiders, per Variety and Sports Business Journal. The deal values the Raiders at $9.9 billion.

Emanuel will own 1.4% of the franchise. Shapiro will hold 0.6%. Both are structured as personal investments rather than through TKO or any WME corporate vehicle. The deal is expected to close later this month.

They are part of a larger investment group led by Silver Lake CEO Egon Durban, who already held a minority stake in the Raiders and is increasing it to 22%. The group also includes Dell Technologies founder Michael Dell and Blackstone global head of private equity Joseph Baratta. Collectively, the group is acquiring 25% of the franchise. Mark Davis, son of the late Raiders owner Al Davis, remains the controlling shareholder.

Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, where the Raiders play, hosted WrestleMania 41 in 2025 and WrestleMania 42 in 2026 in back-to-back years. With Emanuel and Shapiro now personally invested in the Raiders, the men who run WWE and UFC at TKO Group Holdings will own a piece of the venue where both events were held.

Shapiro already has deep NFL ties. He acquired the rights to Monday Night Football in 2005 while running programming and production at ESPN, created the NFL Honors, and leads On Location, which is the NFL's exclusive hospitality provider. He is also a minority owner of MLS's Los Angeles FC. This marks the first time either Emanuel or Shapiro has held a personal stake in an NFL franchise.
Silver Lake, the private equity firm Egon Durban runs, controls both TKO Group Holdings and WME.
