Forza Horizon 6 just dropped, and we have thoughts.

We’re finally getting the location we’ve been asking for since the first Horizon game dropped, and honestly it’s the best map the franchise has ever built. We’re talking massive scale, mountain roads, and cherry blossoms flying past your windshield. They even have the Mazda 787b as a barn find. Engine and exhaust notes finally sound like they actually recorded real cars. And it’s available day 1 on Game Pass, so there’s really no excuse not to try it.

But it’s not perfect. The roads feel too wide, like they scaled everything up and forgot about a little thing called perspective. You know, when it feels like you’re going incredibly slow until you fly off the road mid corner because you were actually going 180. 

Oversteer is excessive and takes quite a bit of getting used to. Body kit options are thin, which stings if you’re into the visual build side of things. The AI Drivatar system is still doing what it’s always done, which is embarrass everyone involved, only on a much larger scale this time. With the prominence of AI in almost every facet of daily life now you’d think they would’ve finally gotten it right. And to top it all off some of the assets look like they got copy-pasted straight from previous Horizon games.
