Brown’s will be temporarily shutting down over the fall and summer semesters, with today being its final day of service.

Brown’s, which also hosts a Peet’s Coffee location, will be closed for the next six months for equipment overhaul and to “reimagine” the space, according to an email statement by campus spokespeople.

A new Berkeley dining option, called Gateway Café, is scheduled to open this summer in the new Gateway building, part of the College of Computing, Data Science, and Society on the north side of campus.
