Soldiers endured overcast skies and intermittent showers during a grueling 10-mile run to secure a spot on the armytenmiler team during the forthoodmwr qualifier run Saturday at Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area.

Soldiers came to compete, to challenge themselves and to support their peers.

The top three males and top three females, along with four male alternates and two female alternates, will represent The Great Place at the Army Ten-Miler event Oct. 11 in Washington, D.C.

Soldiers will find out if they have been selected in approximately a week.
