The heb Operation Appreciation event made the holidays sweet for Fort Hood!

Installation leaders, Soldiers, civilians and H-E-B employees were on hand for the annual cake-cutting. 🎂

The 15-pound confection is not sold in stores and is an annual tradition that conveys H-E-B's appreciation for the military community, said Graciela Velazquez, Fort Hood area community coordinator for H-E-B.

Onlookers watched as Lt. Gen Kevin D. Admiral, III Armored Corps and Fort Hood commanding general, and Command Sgt. Maj. Loyd Rhoades, U.S. Army Garrison-Fort Hood command sergeant major, cut identical cakes.
