Rome has always been a fantastic tennis city and the 2001 Davis Cup was no different, as Italy's Filippo Volandri and Croatia's Goran Ivanišević battled out a 5-set epic at the Foro Italico.

Spurred on by a vocal Italian crowd, Volandri raced into a 2-set lead before the defending Wimbledon champion clawed it back to 2-2.

The deciding set went all the way to the wire, before Volandri pulled of an incredible upset to send the Italian fans wild.
