The LIRR is rolling its first post-strike train out of New York Penn Station at 12:03 p.m., which means many morning commuters were forced to rely on MTA-provided shuttle busses in place of their usual train.

Certain lines will benefit first, including Huntington, Babylon, and Ronkonkoma, before systemwide restoration a short time later. In the meantime, expect delays and cancellations.

Limited shuttle bus service will remain an option for the evening rush.
