Greenville County leaders met Thursday to discuss the county’s nearly half-billion-dollar budget proposal.

Despite the early clash, much of the conversation focused on staffing shortages and recruitment challenges within the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.

“It’s a constant battle, but we’re doing everything we can,” said Joseph Kernell, the county’s administrator.
