One person is dead and another person is in critical condition after a shooting took place in Rutherford County Wednesday.

The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office confirmed deputies responded to a home on Silvers Lake Road for a shooting.

Deputies said a suspect is in custody and there is no danger to the community.
