Sometimes changing your community starts with noticing what everyone else overlooks. ✨

“Gold Award Girl Scout Kieran wanted to raise awareness about the negative impact that 💡light pollution💡 has on the environment, people, and animals. They recruited a team and coordinated a booth at a community event to provide information on ways to reduce light pollution.

They contacted the local government to advocate for local outdoor light fixtures to be more 🌎 eco-friendly by causing less light pollution. Kieran also created a manual about how to host the booth and trained a volunteer to run it in the future.”
