#Ad Right now at @pilotflyingj, you can get their all-new chicken tenders, wedges, and a 20oz bottled Dr. Pepper (or any size fountain drink) all for just $8!

Tips for a summer road trip worth remembering:

⛽ Always start off with a full tank of gas. My first stop will usually be to top off my gas tank, and do one last “shakedown” of my gear and to make sure everything is loaded and secured properly.

🎶 Keep the music GOIN’! I am always listening to music while I ride.

🏍️ Take the scenic route: Ripping down the highway has its purpose to get from point A to point B, but the best parts of any trip are when I finally get off the interstate and onto a scenic byway. I’ve been slowly crossing off every All-American Road from my bucket list!

🛑 Always stop to enjoy the scenery. I spent so many years NOT doing this. Looking back, I do regret not slowing down more. These days, I always make time for it.

👍 Choose who you road trip with wisely. If you’re traveling in a group, everyone needs to be on the same page with trip expectations, and open to communication. I’ve seen and heard too many stories over the years of a road trip gone wrong because a few people realized a few days into the trip that they weren’t good at traveling together. If you’re traveling solo (which is how I prefer to travel), you still need to have a positive mental attitude and enjoy the ride.

🍗 Good food is all a part of the adventure! Try the local mom and pop shops and the local eats, and when you just need to scarf something down and get back on the road, a box of chicken tendies and fries at Pilot will also do the trick. 😉 For real tho – the new Pilot eats sauce is RLY good. Give it a try!!!
