Las Vegas will have F1 until 2037 🏎️

The Clark County Commissioners have unanimously approved a 7-0 resolution extending the Las Vegas Grand Prix for an additional decade. The 10-year extension ensures the track remains on the Strip every November the week before Thanksgiving through 2037, which means the race cannot move.

Even though F1 is expected to have a $12 Billion total economic output through the term, locals have largely felt left behind by F1 due to traffic disruptions, local businesses being negatively affected, and the feeling of corporate profits > locals.

A core part of the deal allows for F1 to invest in permanent track infrastructure to make the setup/teardown process smoother every year.
