## Caption

Antique finds in old homes are the lifeblood of authentic character. And this is a tale of two antiques: 

1. The hob grate cast iron fireplace at this nineteenth century row house had so much history baked into it. It made cold nights warmer, holidays cozier, and served as the backdrop to generations of families who occupied this home. Giving it a little TCL and the chance to be a focal point, albeit in a new part of the house, was a way to giving the object a new lease on life.

2. This marble surround was moved across the first floor. With some help from the team at euromarblesupply we were able to restore and reinstall this sculptural piece. In its new location, this surround has taken its rightful place as the focal point of the room.

We are big on modernizing homes, but never at the expense of the items and history that make them special.
