- Ask all questions you have about digital systems, dimmers, or even how to use a switch
- For the first few weeks, there’s no shame in using post it’s to familiarize yourself with the flow of your newly laid out home– especially with kids trying to navigate a new space
- Make sure your electrical panel is labeled in terms that you and your family understand. Know what to hit in case of emergency

2. The end of a renovation is the end of a long chapter, but it’s no excuse for letting your investment deteriorate
- Be thoughtful adjusting the thermostat as huge swings in humidity can damage flooring and walls
- Natural stone countertops and surfaces need to be treated with care. Use the appropriate cleaning materials and protection for every celebratory pizza slice or champagne glass

3. Trendy design decisions made a year ago might not make sense with how your actually live in a space
- Partner with an interior designer or architect who takes the time to understand your lifestyle, rather than your Pinterest algorithm
