The first episode of the series was released in March. According to Zayed, the project centres on the experiences and stories of immigrants living abroad. Episode 2 is set to premiere on May 27 at 9 PM Bangladesh time on Thikana. Speaking to The Daily Star about the project and his experience working with Mamdani, Zayed said: “Zohran Kwame Mamdani acted directly alongside me in this short film. The story revolves around immigrants living abroad. Being able to act with him is not only a matter of pride for me personally, but I believe it is also a matter of pride for Bangladesh and its red-and-green flag.” Asked how the mayor became involved in the production, Zayed credited the work behind the scenes: “It was made possible through Ruhin Hossain of Thikana and his wife, Mushrath Shaheen Anuva. They emailed Mamdani regarding the project and also shared details about me. After that, we had to wait for some time.
