My Father would cut my hair in the basement. Military style. Razor to the head.  I hated it so much couldn’t wait to grow my hair long and never cut it again :) 

For those that don’t know, Astor Place Hairstylists in NYC’s East Village is LEGENDARY, known for being at the epicenter of the 1970/80’s punk scene with Mohawks, Spiked Hair and Fades. Also cheap!
