Planning a trip to Cancún? Save this first! 🌊🇲🇽 Here’s everything we wish we knew before we went — from beaches to airport to getting around.

✈️ Only 4 hrs from East Coast, 1 hr time behind — so easy! Worked to our advantage we woke up early 
🌿 Seaweed is seasonal (peak May–Oct), hotels clean daily but it comes back — check Facebook for real time updates
🚕 Use licensed booths at the airport only, quoted $80 negotiated to $40 — fair range $35–55 USD, skip Uber at airport
🏨 Non all-inclusive on the strip = more freedom to explore local food & hidden gems
🥣 Don’t skip hotel breakfast — conchas, sopes, chilaquiles & more local staples
☀️ UV is intense even on cloudy days — high SPF + after sun lotion, reapply constanty, get aloe vera  gel for post burn 
💵 Bring cash 💰for local vendors & markets, bargaining is totally normal here
📱 Uber Eats is available & affordable — great when hotel food gets pricey
🚗 Uber works great in the city for getting around — cheap & fare shown upfront, hotels match prices too 
🍽️ Book restaurants in advance via OpenTable or call ahead — spots fill up fast
📶 Most US & Canadian carriers cover Mexico — just check your plan before you leave
💍 Cancún is a big wedding destination — check with your hotel if you prefer a quieter stay!
