Whenever someone in our family catches a winter cold, we always make Bajra ni Raab. This is a traditional, warm drink that my dadi swore by. She always said it helps build strength and supports immunity during cold and flu season.

It’s very nutritious, comforting, and can be made in under 5 minutes. When we’re unwell, we usually make it for 2–3 days and sip it several times a day to stay warm and hydrated in winter.

This gluten-free winter drink tastes amazing and has an earthy, soothing flavor. Bajra ni Raab is commonly served in Rajasthan during the winter months and is also prepared during Jain parna to break a fast. I personally had this raab post-pregnancy while nursing, and it felt very nourishing.

It’s warm, wholesome, easy to digest, and perfect for winter wellness, cough, cold days, and cozy evenings.

What you will need:
	•	2 tsp ghee
	•	½ tsp ajwain (carom seeds)
	•	3 tbsp bajra flour (pearl millet flour)
	•	1 tsp soonth (dry ginger powder)
	•	3 cups water
	•	3 tbsp crushed jaggery (about 1 large cube)
	•	8–10 strands of kesar (saffron)

Perfect Indian winter recipe, especially if you’re looking for something traditional, comforting, and naturally warming.

* 2 चम्मच घी
* 1/2 छोटा चम्मच अजवाइन अजवायन
* 3 बड़े चम्मच बाजरे का आटा मोती मिलर आटा
* 1 छोटा चम्मच सौंठ सूखा अदरक पाउडर
* 3 कप पानी
* 3 बड़े चम्मच पिसा हुआ गुड़ 1 बड़ा टुकड़ा
* केसर के 8-10 धागे
