How to use manual release button in an Instant Pot ? Minestrone Soup [NEW]

The winter storm is in few days and nothing is more comforting than a big bowl of this soup. I have been making Minestrone soup for a long time and this has been my go to for winters. You can make this easily in an Instant Pot and make it a one pot meal. We made this while we were recently hosting and it was a huge hit.

Why use Manual button in Instantpot?

Manual button is used when you are looking for cooking to stop right away. I usually use it for making pasta or some vegetables that I know tend to overcook in no time. In this case since I was using precooked beans and also already sautéed the veggies before cooking it on pressure, I manually released the pressure.

How to use Manual button?
You simply need to take your whistle and turn it to venting and it will release lot of steam and pressure and the valve will eventually come down so you can open the lid. Depending on how much pressure has been built, it may take that much longer to release.
