Thomas Davis is dealing with the public fallout of a divorce, & the difficulty of breaking a promise to himself & to his children. He can feel the distance with the people he’d, “give {his} life up for”. 

It’s a father’s responsibility to hold the door open for our children, not the other way around. I told td58, how you treat your children & their mother is connected to both of their perceptions of you. We don’t get to separate the two.
