Nine Indonesian nationals, including journalists and humanitarian aid workers detained by Israeli forces on the Global Sumud Flotilla, arrived home in Jakarta on Sunday. The activists described enduring four days of harsh treatment and torture, including beatings and that left many with serious injuries, as well as sexual abuse. Israel's prison service denied the allegations, saying in a statement: "the allegations raised are false and entirely without factual basis.” They added: "Medical care is provided according to professional medical judgment and in accordance with Ministry of Health guidelines."
