🎓 For #therapydog team Bianca Bacany and Harris, graduation day is a celebration of service, leadership and connection.

In addition to raising Harris and serving as president of clemsoncaninecompanions, a student club at clemsonuniversity with a mission to raise our future service dogs, Bianca is also a volunteer therapy dog handler to Harris, who served as the co-president of the club, of course!

Harris is one of the more than one-third of our dogs released from our service dog program, who are now pets serving as #therapydogs in their communities. 🐕

One of Bianca’s fondest memories is watching Harris meet and mentor the next generation of future #servicedogs. Another is when they visited a local children’s hospital during the holidays and witnessed the comfort Harris brought to children and families. “You never know what people are going through, so just being able to give them comfort and support that they need will always be worth it,” she shares. 

The visits they made together as a team became an inspiration to her future career goal: to become a facility dog handler as a child life specialist at the pediatrics department of a hospital. 🐕‍🦺🏥 

As we celebrate graduates across the country, including our newest service and facility dogs, we’re proud of teams like Bianca and Harris who continue to make a difference wherever they go. 🩵
