For Issue 204, The Beautiful Game, cliffspot is our first Akoni Eyewear Visionary. 

Interior designer Cliff Fong has made a life around collecting, arranging, and recontextualizing beautiful things to create spaces that feel elevated, but alive. As a fashion designer, founder of the design firm mattblackeinc and the influential antique showroom galerie_half, he has helped define a distinctly Los Angeles vision of lived-in sophistication. His newest venture, faireduvert, is an indoor-outdoor antique showroom he opened with rare plant specialist pawl_co.

On the confluence between style and soul, Cliff shares, “I think authenticity is important…If you think about the people we admire for their style, it’s not the people who just have deep pockets. The style icons of my generation…were always a mixture of things. Maybe something branded, maybe something vintage, maybe a hand-me-down. But it was always cool and interesting.”
