Cree artist LOV will release her debut album iskwêw (ᐃᐢᑫᐧᐤ) — meaning “woman” — on June 12.

Rooted in identity, healing, vulnerability, and matriarchal strength, the eight-track project blends contemporary soul, Cree language, and emotionally rich storytelling — furthering LOV’s emergence as one of the most compelling rising Indigenous artists in music today.

Produced alongside Montréal-based Connor Seidel (Charlotte Cardin, Half Moon Run, Katie Tupper), iskwêw explores womanhood through a modern Indigenous lens, balancing softness, resilience, reflection, and confidence.

Recent singles — Mama, Matriarch, Relate, and Sister Era — have crossed one million streams across platforms, alongside more than seven million views across TikTok and Facebook. Her music has landed on Spotify editorial playlists including Mood Ring, EQUAL, and Fresh Finds Canada, as well as Apple Music’s Indigenous Now.

In 2025, LOV performed at Native Fashion Week and modeled for designer Rebecca Baker. She was also selected for the 2026 Artist in Residence Program at Allied Music Centre / Massey Hall.

LOV’s release concert and live tour begin June 13.
