Lobsters have adapted to the harsh environment at the bottom of the sea where there is little light. Their eyes are on the end of stalks and rely on reflection to get a wider angle view of their surroundings. They have thousands of parallel microscopic square pores arranged in a sphere that reflect light from different angles and direct it to the retina.⁣
