A female pygmy hippopotamus enjoyed her first outdoor bath some ten days after being born at Berlin Zoo.⁣

The young animal, born on May 9 and which yet has to be named, seemingly enjoyed the water by wiggling its ears.⁣

According to the zoo, the little hippo is developing well and gaining weight steadily. ⁣
⁣
Pygmy hippos are solitary animals, and mother Debbie will raise the calf on her own, the zoo said in a written statement.⁣
