The UN General Assembly has backed the historic advisory opinion by the International Court of Justice on governments' obligation to protect the environment from greenhouse gas emissions.

Through this #UNGA resolution, countries reaffirm that addressing the climate crisis is a legal duty under international law, not just a political choice.
