Six MIT students just changed rehabilitation forever.

It's not a brain chip. It's not reading your mind. It's something more interesting.

A six-person MIT team built a wearable called Human Operator — a band of electrodes on your wrist and fingers, connected to Claude AI and a small head-mounted camera.

Here's what it actually does:

- The camera watches what's in front of you
- You speak a command — "wave hello" or "play this note"
- Claude combines what the camera sees with what you said
- It figures out exactly which muscles need to move
- The electrodes send tiny pulses into those muscles
- Your hand acts

You stay in control. The AI just translates intent into motion.

Now think about what that means for the 5 million Americans living with paralysis — many of whom spend years in rehab just to regain small hand movements after a stroke.

This system doesn't cure paralysis. It guides muscle movement. Retrains motor control. Turns months of physical therapy into something that can happen faster, and at home.
