When I was a kid, money was mostly for... buying stuff.

Maybe you were the same. We learn early on how to spend, but the other side of money: the side that builds character: often gets left to chance.

That’s why when we built Little Money Jars, we didn’t just want to track allowance. We wanted to build a habit.

We use a simple four-jar framework: Give, Save, Invest, and Spend.

But the order matters.

We always start with Give. Why? Because stewardship starts with the heart. When a child learns to set aside a portion for others before they think about their own wants, it changes how they see every dollar that follows. 

It transforms money from a "me" tool into a "we" tool.

It’s not about how much is in the jar. It’s about the conversation that happens when they drop that first coin in. It’s about raising kids who are generous by nature, not just by accident.
