This traditional log raft ride (한반도 뗏목 체험) below the peninsula formation is actually a piece of living history. Long before roads or trains crossed these mountains, the winding rivers were the only highways around. Logging was a huge deal in Yeongwol back then, so workers would chop down massive pine trees, tie them together into giant wooden rafts, and use the river to float them downstream.

As a cool new experience, they now let you dip your feet right into the water while you drift past the massive limestone cliffs. It is the perfect way to cool off and just watch the ripples go by.

Since this spot is tucked away along the river, I highly recommend booking the Yeongwol Tour Taxi. It took all the stress out of figuring out the mountain roads and parking. You can follow one of their pre-set tour packages or fully customize the itinerary based on exactly where you want to go.
