Representing Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism (medillschool ) at the 2026 NBA Draft Combine reminded me that behind every athlete is a younger version of themselves who once dreamed about simply being seen.

The moment I walked into the arena, I asked myself:
“What story am I going to tell?”

I didn’t want to just capture basketball. I wanted to capture the feeling of chasing a dream while the pressure grows louder around you. The silence after a drill. The scores updating in real time. The nervous smiles hiding exhaustion. The reality of athletes giving everything they have while knowing one moment could change their future forever.

Grateful for the opportunity to network with industry professionals, continue growing in this field, and represent Northwestern Medill in this space.
