From local business, beautiful lochs, stunning beaches, mountains as far as the eye can see and great food stops I highly recommending adding the NC500 to your bucket list! 

This was the last leg of the trip and it was by far my favourite part of driving. If you’re doing the NC500 east to west on the last leg you’ll swap beaches for mountains, but the views do not disappoint!

We all made it around the NC500 despite Cameron’s car breaking down an hour after setting off, James window breaking and duct taping it closed and my engine light came on the day before the trip started. 

The roads are single lane at points so you have to be vigilant and let cars pass where possible. There are also quite a few pot holes so watch out for those! And if you’re going between July and September don’t forget there midges!
