Convocation in Aligarh Muslim University 

After COVID-19, the Convocation ceremony for passed out students of Aligarh Muslim University has still not been organized properly. Because of this, students had to spend their own money to come together at Strachey Hall, SS South Hall, AMU Aligarh, just to celebrate their achievements.

Before COVID-19, Convocation used to take place at Gulistan-e-Syed, where students and their families gathered proudly to celebrate years of hard work and memories at AMU. That tradition gave students respect, recognition, and a memorable farewell.

It is disappointing that the AMU administration and the Vice Chancellor have neither conducted AMUSU elections nor organized a proper Convocation ceremony for students. If the university had fulfilled its responsibility, students would not have been forced to arrange and finance their own celebration.

Students deserve dignity, recognition, and the traditions that make AMU special.
