After BJP’s sweeping victory in West Bengal and Assam, Amul has announced major expansion plans in the Northeast and eastern India. The company plans to invest nearly ₹650 crore to set up its first fully owned dairy processing plant in West Bengal.

At the same time, Amul is also investing around ₹150 crore in a major dairy project near Guwahati, Assam. The projects are expected to strengthen milk processing capacity, support local dairy farmers, and create new employment opportunities in the region.
