Forsyth Tech continues to prove why it’s one of the premier community colleges in the country. This year alone, the college was named one of America’s Top 25 Community Colleges as a semifinalist for the prestigious Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, recognizing incredible student outcomes, workforce development, and educational opportunity. 

And a huge part of that success is the leadership of Dr. Janet Spriggs, who was named the 2026 NC Community College System President of the Year after helping double Forsyth Tech’s graduation rate and virtually eliminate equity gaps for minority students. It was an honor to present a N.C. flag flown over the State Capitol to Dr. Spriggs in recognition of her accomplishments! 

From workforce partnerships to apprenticeship programs to record enrollment and graduation numbers, Forsyth Tech is changing lives across our region every single day. Proud of Dr. Spriggs, the faculty, staff, and every student helping make this institution a statewide and national leader.
