An undercut should support the shape of the bob. 

I do this to add longevity to the cut as the hair grows. This shorter section underneath the occipital bone allows the hair above room to lay sleeker to the neck line and not feel so bulky.

I like using my small round brush to shape the undercut. I don’t typically use it very traditionally in this section. 

 Like to soften my graduation with a so it doesn’t feel too thick and will grow out even softer.
