lovable.dev helped build ARA, an app helping people break free from doom scrolling through color-based emotional check-ins. No words needed.

ARA was created by Frankie & Pelumi, a husband-and-wife team in Nigeria. Yogis turned entrepreneurs and non-technical founders backed by the NVIDIA Inception Program. The platform interrupts mindless scrolling with a simple but powerful idea: every 9 minutes, users pick a color as a quick emotional pulse, with deeper check-ins every 60 minutes.

The inspiration came from their 14-month-old son Iko and the concept of pre-verbal communication. In Pelumi’s words:
“The phone cannot have this much power over you. What if there was something that could bring your attention back to the present while you’re having a digital experience? That’s how this all started.”

The entire platform was built using Lovable. Pelumi, who isn’t technical, was able to design and shape the experience herself, helping the team move from idea to product in a fraction of the time.
