Today was one of those bittersweet rescue days that completely shatters your heart while also filling it with so much peace. ❤️

We took six of our precious donkeys to their forever home today… and as we pulled through the gate, the others all came over to say one final goodbye. That moment will stay with me forever.

People always ask how I can let them go after loving them so deeply. The truth is… it never gets easier. But rescue was never about keeping them all for ourselves. It’s about giving them the life they deserve.

And these babies hit the jackpot. They are going to the MOST incredible family imaginable. A family filled with kindness, patience, love, beautiful pasture, and open hearts. I truly could not have dreamed up a more perfect home for them.

So tonight my heart hurts a little… but it also feels so grateful knowing these six babies are about to live the most beautiful life possible. ❤️#cashthedonkey #cashscrewrescue #rescuedonkey #donkeysanctuary #cashstrong
