With housing sites running incredibly scarce in downtown Seoul, an LH researcher actually came up with this wild idea:

🏙️ Floating modular homes right on the Han River
🛣️ An elevated residential complex built over the Gangbyeon Expressway
🌉 Utilizing tiny pockets of space—roads, air rights, and gaps between buildings

Believe it or not, there are already similar cases abroad! In places like the Netherlands and Denmark, ”floating homes“ are a fully functioning reality.

Seoul is now moving past just wanting an ”apartment with a Han River view“ and entering an era where we’re seriously considering ”apartments on the Han River.“

Used AI to generate some concept art, and honestly… it looks way cooler than I expected, don‘t you think?

서울 도심에 집 지을 땅이 진짜 부족하긴 한가 봐요.
LH 연구원이 무려 이런 아이디어를 냈더라고요.

🛣️ 강변북로 상부 입체 주거단지
🌉 도로, 공중, 건물 사이 자투리 공간 활용

이게 말이나 되나 싶지만, 해외엔 이미 이런 곳이 있대요! 네덜란드나 덴마크에서는 ‘물 위의 집’이 실제로 운영 중이라고 하니까요.

이제 서울도 단순히 “한강 뷰 아파트”를 부러워하는 걸 넘어, 진짜 “한강 위 아파트”를 고민해야 하는 시대가 온 거죠.

궁금해서 AI로 이미지를 한 번 만들어봤는데… 생각보다 꽤 그럴듯하고 괜찮아 보이지 않나요?
