Recently, #GayleKing appeared on the callherdaddy podcast, where she touched on various topics. One of the incidents she spoke about was finding out that her ex-husband, #WilliamBumpus, had cheated on her with a friend. She spoke in detail about the incident, which took place over 30 years ago.

Her ex is now speaking out with an apology. In a statement issued to tmz_tv, William said, “My deepest apologies to Gayle, to our daughter Kirby and her husband, Virgil, to our son William and his wife, Elise, and to our three grandchildren, for the pain I caused decades ago. Those actions were mine. I have long owned them — including publicly in my own words in 2016, which still stand.”

He continued to say, “Gayle has every right to share what was a painful chapter that changed the trajectory of our marriage and our family nearly forty years ago. I respect her right to tell her story, and that’s where I’ll leave it.”

William continued to express his appreciation for Gayle for all that she’s done, and how they’ve continued to move as a family throughout the years.

In the podcast episode, Gayle explained that, at the time of the incident, she returned home from traveling and found her husband in the bedroom with a former friend, who was also married.
