Today we celebrate caribedems on the street renaming. 

"Founded in 1949, El Nuevo Caribe is the first Puerto Rican Democratic Club in the United States serving the 68th District of NY.

For over 75 years, El Caribe Democratic Club has been a pillar in the community, uplifting generations through civic engagement, cultural pride, advocacy, and leadership in East Harlem and beyond. From empowering local voices to preserving Puerto Rican and Latino heritage, this moment represents the strength and unity of our people."
