Honoree #5 — momma_bandy 
This guest of honor is one of the strongest people I’ve ever known: My Mom, Sheryl Sarno Bandy. (She had no idea she was being honored!)

Born and raised in Bloomfield, New Jersey, my mom is the definition of resilience, strength, and heart. She’s the type of person who doesn’t take crap from nobody, but somehow still makes every single person she meets feel special and seen. She’s not only my biggest hype woman, but somehow all of my friends’ biggest hype woman too, both online and in real life.

She spent nearly 50 years building an incredible career doing corporate litigation working in downtown LA, all while raising four kids and being the kind of mom every child dreams of having. No matter how busy life got, she always showed up. Everything I am today is because of my mom.

Last year and this year, she faced one of the hardest battles ever and with the same strength and determination she’s carried her entire life, SHE BEAT CANCER!! 

My mom is an absolute fighter and represents exactly what a Game ChangeHER is in every part of her life. In her Pilates and mahjahn community, her business community, and within our family. She has a way of making everyone around her better simply by being herself. I’m beyond proud to honor you tonight. I love you more than words can explain.

And for that, tonight and all nights, Mommy, you deserve your flowers 💐
