Last week, it was reported that the actor — who's also the daughter of legendary director Martin Scorsese — will appear in the second season of Prime Video's Mr. & Ms. Smith. But after reposting the announcement on TikTok, the comments quickly filled up with negative responses. While some called out nepotism in Hollywood, others targeted Francesca's appearance directly — prompting her to address the backlash in a candid TikTok:

"And majority is always picking on looks or another nepo baby. I understand. I know I have doors opened for me," she said. "I’m still trying to do the work, I’m still going hard and being passionate and creating and doing the work. But I think if you go on people’s videos and you seek out negativity, you are a very, very sad person."
