6lack reveals that his new album ‘Love is the New Gangsta’ was initially going to be a Gangsta Grillz tape with DJ Drama…  But life had other plans. "Life just got very personal,” he tells P&P. “It got very sad and it got very reflective.” Because of this, he realized, “I don’t think anybody needs to narrate the story right now, besides me.” So he changed plans and ended up with a much more personal album, which became ‘Love is the New Gangsta.’ #6lack says he’s still open to the idea of doing a Gangsta Grillz tape with Drama at some point in the future, but he’s very happy with the decision he made this time. #loveisthenewgangsta is out now.
