⚠️ 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓: Current #GoAvsGo GM Chris MacFarland could be a target for the #Predators executive search, per multiple reports including friedgehnic.

It was previously reported that Nashville was waiting for an executive who still had his team playing in the playoffs. Through further reporting, it's a possibility that the executive is MacFarland.

Reporting first began from Jonah Siegel of the Toronto Star, who said “lots of buzzing out there NSH will name MacFarland as their new VP of hockey operations, a promotion over GM role he currently has.”

This reporting was brought up by Friedman on Monday's 32 Thoughts Podcast, where he said, “I do not believe it’s a guarantee that he’s going to Nashville or he’s leaving Colorado. But the length of the search definitely makes it look like the Predators are waiting to talk to someone,” while mentioning that MacFarland was a “logical target.”

Friedman cautioned that he does not believe there is an agreement in place between MacFarland and Nashville, but he did believe it’s possible NSH will ask to speak to MacFarland after COL's season ends.

Another report was later brought up by Nick Kypreos on Real Kyper & Bourne, who said “there’s many that think this is a done deal and they can’t announce it until Colorado is eliminated or wins the Cup.”

MacFarland is NOT on an expiring contract and Nashville would need to get permission from Colorado to speak with him.
