You don’t always need expensive things to feel full.🤷🏻‍♀️

Not every good day comes from a luxury hotel, a fancy restaurant or a new dress.

Sometimes it’s just the rhythm of a city, a quiet walk, good weather and being grateful for where you are.

And speaking of that… Mayfair may look polished and elegant today, but its history is far more surprising than you might expect.

📍 Things you probably didn’t know about Mayfair:

🎪 Mayfair gets its name from the “May Fair” a huge annual fair once filled with entertainers, markets, crowds and street performances.

🌿 Before the grand townhouses and luxury boutiques, much of this area was open countryside on the edge of London.

🎶 One of Mayfair’s most fascinating addresses was home to two music legends: composer George Frideric Handel and, nearly 200 years later, Jimi Hendrix.

🎩 Bond Street, one of the world’s most famous luxury shopping streets, is actually part of Mayfair.

🎲 If you’ve ever played Monopoly, Mayfair is the most expensive square on the UK board.

☕ And despite its luxury reputation, some of my favourite things here are completely free: walking through the streets, finding hidden cafés and admiring the architecture.
