Jack Sanborn's deflection with 6 seconds left accidentally left 1 second on the clock, which let Green Bay kick the tying field goal. That tie instead of a win dropped Dallas to 7-9-1, gave them the 12th overall pick, and let them trade up one spot with Miami to draft Ohio State safety Caleb Downs — a national champion, Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, and the most NFL-ready defender in the 2026 class.

The butterfly effect: Parsons holdout → trade to Packers → revenge game OT → Sanborn deflection → tie game → draft position → Caleb Downs.
