Women of Winter (@womenofwinter) and PSIA-AASI (@thesnowpros) are thrilled to partner again to host 4 instructor education events at Big Sky (@bigskyresort) February 22-25, 2024 for Black, Indigenous, Women of Color (BIWOC) to obtain a (i) PSIA-AASI alpine or snowboard Level I instructor certification or (ii) a Freestyle or Children’s Specialist 1 for returning Level I recipients. 

We’re providing 24 scholarships for BIWOC to learn the skills and education to share their knowledge and passion of skiing and snowboarding with their communities!

12 women (6 Alpine, 6 Snowboard) will be selected to receive:
❄️ PSIA-AASI Level I event preparation (2 days)
❄️ PSIA-AASI Level I certification exam (2 days)
❄️ 2023-2024 season of PSIA-AASI membership dues
❄️ Lift tickets for all days of the Level I preparatory course and exam

For 2024, we’re  thrilled to partner with the National Brotherhood of Snowsports (NBS) for a special scholarship launch for NBS members, stay tuned for more info 👀 

Additionally, Women of Winter and PSIA-AASI believe that sustaining and enduring change requires continued investment. To further this, we’re providing twelve (12) scholarships open to Women of Winter x PSIA-AASI Alumni. 

12 women from our past Level I recipients will be selected to receive: 
❄️ PSIA-AASI Freestyle Specialist Level I credential assessment (2 days)
❄️ PSIA-AASI Children’s Specialist Level I credential assessment  (2 days)
❄️ Lift tickets for all days of the Level I exam
