this wasn’t the life I planned

I’ve had to start over more than once

losing my mom
losing my health
losing my career

and figuring out who I was every time after

photography found me in a season where I had nothing left
and somehow gave me something again

I still deal with the effects of my injury every day
but for the first time in a long time—
I actually love what I’m building
