Over 10 years after one of the internet’s most random celebrity beefs, Katy Perry and Chief Keef are now cool.

Back in 2013, Katy Perry tweeted that Chief Keef’s song “Hate Bein’ Sober” made her “question the world,” criticizing the lyrics and energy of the track during the peak of Chicago drill’s rise. 

Chief Keef responded online and the exchange quickly went viral, becoming one of the biggest pop culture clashes of the early Twitter era.

Keef later apologized after backlash, but the moment stayed legendary online for years because nobody expected a mainstream pop superstar and a drill rapper to even be interacting like that.

Fast forward to 2026 and the internet is losing it after Katy was recently seen wearing Glo Gang merch and linking up with Chief Keef, officially putting the old beef behind them.

Now fans are convinced something bigger is coming. Rumours are already spreading that Katy could bring Chief Keef onto a remix of “Legendary Lovers,” one of the fan favourite songs people have wanted revisited for years.
